Family and friends of Sean Bell are preparing for a not-guilty verdict.
Bell's supporters said they will ask federal prosecutors to take over the case, if the three NYPD detectives charged in his death are acquitted.
William Bell, Sean Bell's father spoke out against the police officers at a rally in Harlem Monday night.
"They should think before they react. They didn't think. If they'd have thought, I guess he would be alive today. If they'd thought a little more, a couple of seconds. That's all it took to kill him. A couple of seconds," he said.
The judge is expected to announce the verdict on Friday.
