The call for justice is far from over for supporters of the Sean Bell family. Reverend Al Sharpton vows to bring sections of the city to a standstill with a series of "pray-ins."
Sharpton is warning people to look for demonstrators to be on their knees, getting arrested, this Wednesday.
"If you're not going to lock up the guilty in this town, I guess you have to lock up the innocent," he said.
Crowds are expected for the midweek acts of civil disobedience. They are planned for 3 p.m. With participants meeting at six locations, five in Manhattan and one in Brooklyn, then fanning out to other undisclosed locations.
Carol Taylor said she'll be there. "I was America's first black flight attendant. I'm 76 and a half years old and I'm sick and tired of being sick and tired."
Since three police detectives were aquitted in the case of 50 shots fired at three unarmed men, there have been several protests. An unarmed Sean Bell was shot and killed on his wedding day, and his two friends with him were severely injured.
This past Wednesday demonstrators tied up traffic outside Madison Square Garden. For this coming Wednesday, Bell's fiancee Nicole Paultre Bell, made this promise: "I will be there and everyone who's willing to support us please come out and we're going to do this peacefully like we always have."
