NEW YORK (CBS) ―
Wednesday will be one of the coldest days of the season with highs struggling to reach 30 degrees. Wind chills through Thursday morning will also be an issue, with some readings as low as single digits.
The first storm of the season should arrive in the tri-state area between 6 and 9 p.m. Thursday evening in the form of a wintry mix. It will clear out Friday between 6 and 9 a.m.
Here's your forecast for the next four days:
Wednesday: Sunny and cold in the morning, with temperatures reaching no higher than 30 all day.
Thursday: Wintry mix begins between 6 and 9 p.m. Accumulations possible in areas north and west.
Friday: Early rain, but the sun will return in the afternoon. Temperatures will be in the 30s.
Saturday: Arctic shock returns as temperatures plummet. Snow showers possible.
