Police and a neighbor said an errant bullet blew through a fifth-floor Brooklyn apartment window and ripped into the arm of a 9-year-old girl.
The girl is hospitalized in stable condition, and police are investigating whether the bullet stemmed from gunfire that killed a 27-year-old man about two blocks away around the same time Friday afternoon.
No arrests have been made in the shootings, which happened in the Brownsville neighborhood.
After the girl's hysterical mother banged on her door, neighbor Makota Belton rushed over to help the wounded child. Belton says the girl held up well, but was in shock.
