A Donald Trump high-rise under construction in New York City has been shut down for a second time after equipment struck and shattered several windows.
Buildings Department officials said that a cable at the Trump SoHo project came loose during heavy winds and struck the north side of the tower about 10 p.m. Saturday. About a dozen windows were cracked and glass rained down on the street. There were no injuries.
The department issued a stop-work order and cited contractor Bovis Lend Lease.
Bovis spokeswoman Mary Costello says that company
employees "immediately inspected the site and identified a few broken panes of glass."
The site was shut down in January for several weeks after a construction worker plummeted 40 stories to his death.
