The World Series returns to the Bronx for Game 6 Wednesday night.
Yankees fans say tomorrow night's the night. Andy Pettitte will be bringing it home in the new stadium for the Yanks 27th title.
Fans returning from the disappointing 8 to 6 loss in Philadelphia, were trying to put the best face forward as they head into an unexpected sixth game of the World Series.
"We wanted to do it here in New York. That's how we want it, tomorrow night in the new stadium in New York," said fan Dave Horton.
"Pettitte's a great pitcher in clutch play. He's been there and he'll do it again," said Myron Moscowitz.
And as the dejected Yankees returned home for a day of rest, with disappointment on their faces, one fan offered a little motherly advice.
"They need a more heart, more energy. They need to be more afraid of their fans," said Belinda Plutz. "They should get they energy and bring it home for us."
Another fan was buying six more Yankees caps, preparing for a big home party Wednesday night.
"We're going to win it in the Bronx, just the way it's supposed to be," said Andrew Schattner.
The Yanks are still 27 outs from their 27th World Series, but that's a much better place to be than in Philadelphia.
