White House Dog Barney Stars In New Film

WASHINGTON (CBS) ― The White House has released this year's holiday video starring Barney, the Bush family's Scottish Terrier.

"Barney's Holiday Extravaganza" marks the dog's eighth film since President George W. Bush and first lady Laura Bush moved into 1600 Pennsylvania Ave. In this year's movie, Barney is seen dealing with a national budget cutbacks by planning a reality dance show requiring a White House makeover.

Other videos available on the White House Web site include "Barney Cam I" (2002), "Barney and Spot's Winter Wonderland" (2003), "Barney Cam II" (2003), "Where in the White House is Miss Beazley?" (2004), "Barney has found Miss Beazley" (2005), "Barney and Miss Beazley's Spring Garden Tour" (2005), and "A Very Beazley Christmas" (2005).

Barney's mother is Coors, a Scottish Terrier owned by former Environmental Protection Agency Director Christine Todd Whitman.
