11-Year-Old Arrested In NY Stabbing Of 13-Year-Old
MOUNT VERNON, N.Y. (AP) ―
A suburban New York police commissioner says an 11-year-old boy has been charged with assault after stabbing a 13-year-old.
Commissioner David Chong said Tuesday the older boy was stabbed in the thigh and was recovering in a hospital.
The attack occurred after 11 p.m. Monday near a Mount Vernon intersection. Chong would not disclose what prompted the attack.
He said there's no reason for a boy that young to be on the street at that hours -- especially on a school night.
The boys' names were not released because of their ages.
