Jeanine Pirro's Reality Show D.O.A.

'Celebrity Jury' Would Have Featured Former Westchester D.A.

NEW YORK (CBS/AP) ― Former Westchester County District Attorney Jeanine Pirro had hoped to trade politics for television with a reality hour-long courtroom show.

But an industry executive says the planned show is dead. "Celebrity Jury" was to have starred Pirro as the judge ruling on real-life small-claims lawsuits.

But Bill Carroll of Katz Television Group in New York City says the show is no longer planned. The show was pitched by Warner Brothers Television Group. But it apparently failed to get picked up. He did not say why.

But Carroll offered some hope to Pirro, saying it could be back for September 2008.

Pirro once made People magazine's list of 50 most beautiful people and was expected to be paid $1 million for the show.

Pirro and Warner Brothers Television Group could not be reached yesterday for comment by a Journal News reporter.
