Three Mahopac High School students are in big trouble for allegedly buying and selling stolen prescription drugs.
The Putnam County Sheriff's Office says the drugs were stolen from a Westchester County pharmacy where one of the three 17-year-olds worked.
Police say Steven Stasiak, Michael Della Valle and Christopher Tarr, all from Mahopac, face felony and misdemeanor charges.
Police say on September 6th, the resource officer stationed at the high school, found Diazepam - also known as Valium - on Stasiak. He was charged with misdemeanor possession of a controlled substance and released to his parents without bail.
The investigation led to Della Valle, who worked for a Westchester pharmacy. Polcie say Della Valle is accused of stealing the Valium along with other controlled substances from the pharmacy.
Della Valle was arrested September 10th on felony criminal sale and possession of a controlled substance.
Tarr was arrested September 26th, accused of buying an undisclosed amount of Vicodin tablets from Della Valle. He's charged with felony conspiracy.
