Toilet Maker Settles Cheeky Billboard Suit

NEW YORK (AP) ― The bidet and toilet company that wanted to put up a billboard featuring naked butts on the side of a Times Square church has apparently turned the other cheek.

Washlet-maker Toto put up a sanitized version of its ad with a white band across the barest features. Across the blocked out portion is the message: "Clean is happy. No ifs, ands, or..."

The Times Square Church sued to get a judge to temporarily block the billboard earlier this month. Toto and the church said yesterday that they reached a settlement of the suit.

A lawyer for the church declined to comment. The Washlet company said their "thought-provoking" billboard was "not intended to offend."
