Police: Baby Ejected From Car In Crash
NEW HAVEN, Conn. (AP) ―
State police say a baby suffered serious head injuries after reportedly being ejected from a car during a two-vehicle crash on Interstate 91 in New Haven.
Troopers responded to the accident shortly before 9:30 a.m. Monday in the southbound lanes near Exit 4. They say the child, who is about 1 year old, was breathing at the scene.
State police say the baby is in serious condition at Yale-New Haven Hospital. The child's name was not released.
It's not immediately clear whether the baby was in a child restraint seat, as required by law.
The cause of the accident is being investigated.
