Latest New York Sports:

(AP) Philip Rivers capped an 80-yard drive with an 18-yard pass to Vincent Jackson with 21 seconds to play and the San Diego Chargers stunned the Giants 21-20 on Sunday, handing New York its fourth straight loss.

Rivers was 24 of 36 for 209 yards and three touchdowns, including two to Jackson, in helping San Diego win its third straight game.

The Giants are 5-4 heading into a bye week and not looking very much like a playoff team.

The New York Jets and Buffalo Bills were off Sunday for their bye-weeks.

CHARGERS-GIANTS INJURIES Giants backup LB Gerris Wilkinson has wrist injury

EAST RUTHERFORD, N.J. (AP) — New York Giants backup linebacker Gerris Wilkinson was knocked out of Sunday's game against the San Diego Chargers with a wrist injury.

Wilkinson was injured in the third quarter. He made the tackle on the opening kickoff of the second half, but the team did not say when he was hurt nor which wrist.

VICK-DUNGY Dungy see Buffalo as option for Vick

NEW YORK (AP) — Tony Dungy says Michael Vick could potentially wind up in Buffalo, which he says previously discussed signing the quarterback.

Dungy has served as an adviser to Vick since the Super Bowl-winning coach retired from the Colts after last season. Now a commentator for NBC, Dungy confirmed during the pregame show Sunday night before Philadelphia hosted Dallas that the Bills and Vick "talked originally" when Vick was searching for a team after serving 18 months in federal prison for running a dogfighting ring.

The Eagles signed Vick to a $1.6 million contract for 2009, with a team option for the second year at $5.2 million. But he has played sparingly.

SYRACUSE INJURIES Orange lose 2 more players

SYRACUSE, N.Y. (AP) — Strong safety Max Suter and tight end Cody Catalina will miss Syracuse's final three games of the season with injuries.

Suter had surgery on his left arm Sunday and the university said Catalina's ailing right knee will be operated on "in the near future."

Suter and Catalina were injured in Saturday's 37-10 loss to Pittsburgh.

The depleted Orange (3-6, 0-4 Big East) traveled to Pitt with only 55 players. They're at Louisville on Saturday.
