Orange Lose 2 More, Including NT Jones
SYRACUSE, N.Y. (AP) ―
The Syracuse Orange have lost two more key players to injury.
Senior nose tackle Arthur Jones and junior offensive tackle Jonathan Meldrum will miss the final three games of the season. Coach Doug Marrone said both reported experiencing discomfort in their left knees during Saturday's game at Pittsburgh and MRIs performed Monday revealed each had a torn lateral meniscus.
Surgery will be performed in the near future, the university said in a release.
Jones has 38.5 career tackles for loss, the most in Syracuse history by an interior defensive lineman, and his 145 career tackles ties for 10th all-time on the school list for tackles by a down lineman.
