Thousands of Yankees fans will be cheering for their team at a pep rally in Times Square before Game 1 of the World Series.
Mayor Michael Bloomberg is hosting the gathering, slated to begin at 12:30 p.m. Wednesday at the crossroads of the world. He will be joined by Michael Kay of the Yankees' YES network.
The city is encouraging Yankees fans to wear Yankees gear to work and school to show support throughout the city.
Note:
The pep rally will be held weather permitting. CBS 2's John Elliott is calling for more rain tomorrow, which could continue into game one of the World Series.
